INTRODUCING PLANTPURE JUMPSTART


The Jumpstart program was featured in PlantPure Nation, a documentary from the writer and producer of Forks Over Knives.


 




PlantPure Jumpstart is not a short-term diet designed simply for weight loss. Many people will lose weight on this diet, but that is a natural effect of changing your diet to a more healthy, more natural way of eating. If you find you’re hungry during the Jumpstart, you aren’t eating enough! Expect to be hungry about every three hours, as your body digests plant-based foods far more efficiently than animal products. Plan accordingly, and make sure you have lots of cut veggies and fruits to keep you satiated between meals, and also make sure you stay hydrated. 


Something else you’ll experience, aside from simply feeling better physically and mentally, is a change in your palate. Once your body has had a break from processed foods and animal products, you’ll be surprised to see that dishes you may once have thought plain or bland have flavor that is much more apparent and satisfying. This often leads to a desire to try new foods and revisit foods you weren’t keen on before.  


 

WHY SHOULD YOU TRY JUMPSTART?


Research shows that a whole-food, plant-based diet is the most effective way to achieve and maintain optimal health. Eating a WFPB diet can reduce your risk for a wide range of chronic diseases, and sometimes even halt or reverse many of these, including type 2 diabetes and heart disease. It’s also a far more environmentally sustainable way of eating. It takes an enormous amount of resources to grow the grain and forage products required to feed livestock for human consumption. Some studies have concluded that animal-based farming is the single biggest contributor to global warming, to say nothing of other issues such as topsoil loss, water depletion, and pollution, etc. Consuming a WFPB diet also increases opportunity for small farmers supplying into local markets. And finally, eliminating animal products produced by large factory farms helps to alleviate the suffering of the other creatures sharing our planet with us.
